Souper "bowl" Sandwiches Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1 pkg. onion soup mix1 pt. sour cream
1/2 c. chopped olives
1/2 c. chopped pickles
2 tomatoes, sliced
2 green peppers, cut into rings
2 loaves unsliced, round bread (9 inch diameter)
1 1/2 lbs. thinly sliced roast beef
1/2 lb. thinly sliced Swiss cheese
Lettuce
Cooking Directions
Combine soup mix, sour cream, olives and pickles in bowl. Chill. Cut thin slice off top of each bread; reserve hollow out center of each; leaving 1/4 inch shell. Spread 3/4 cup onion mixture into each shell; line with lettuce.Into each shell evenly layer roast beef, Swiss cheese, green peppers and tomatoes; top with remaining mixture. Replace tops and cut into wedges. Serves 8.
