New England Boiled Dinner Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
3 ham hocks OR beef short ribs
1 med. onion
1 can (6 oz.) carrots
1 med. head cabbage
3 med. turnips
1 med. bell pepper
Cooking Directions
Chop onion and boil with meat until tender. Add turnips, cut in fourths and bell pepper, cut in long strips. Cook these until tender. Add cabbage, cut in fourths. Cook 15-25 minutes more. Drain carrots and add to soup.
