Lobster Newburg Casserole Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
4 tbsp. butter4 tbsp. flour
Dash of salt
1 pt. milk (I use 1 can evaporated milk plus regular milk to make the pint)
Cooking Directions
Cook in a double boiler until thick. Add:1 pt. lobster meat
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 c. sm. bread cubes (about 3 slices with crust removed)
1/2 tsp. cooking sherry
Place in buttered casserole. Top with cracker crumbs mixed with melted butter. Mix tamale with crumbs if desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes; 40 minutes for large casserole. Scallops, fish, oysters, crab meat, or a mixture of any of these may be used.
