Maple Grape Nut Custard Recipe


Recipe Ingredients

2 c. milk
1/3 c. plus 2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. maple or maple flavored syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. Grape Nuts
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. vanilla



Cooking Directions

Put Grape Nuts in greased quart casserole. Over Grape Nuts pour 1 cup milk heated to hot, not boiling. Beat eggs and add all other ingredients to eggs. Stir liquid over Grape Nuts.
Bake in 325 degree oven for about 50 minutes or until done. Stir 2 or 3 times during the first half hour.
