Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Recipe Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. hot water
1 c. flour, sifted
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 c. old fashioned oats
1 bag Nestle's Toll House morsels
Nuts; optional

Cooking Directions

Cream butter, Crisco, and sugars. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Add vanilla and water. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Add to mixture. with a wooden spoon add oats and chocolate chips. Drop by small spoonfuls and bake until brown, but not hard.
