New Orleans Caramels Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
2 cups black strap molasses1 cup brown sugar
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 lb. unsweetened chocolate
4 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
Cooking Directions
Boil all ingredients together until they harden in cold water. Stir in vanilla. Pour into a buttered flat baking dish and cut into small squares when nearly cold.Submitted by: CM
