Johnny's Cream Cheese Pound Cake Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
3 sticks real butter8 oz. pkg. cream cheese
3 c. sugar
3 c. sifted cake flour
6 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp. real vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
Cooking Directions
Place butter and cream cheese in bowl and let stand until softened. Then beat together well. Add sugar, little at a time, and blend well. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg. Add flour a little at a time and mix well. Add salt. Add vanilla last and beat until smooth like satin.Bake in preheated oven 325 degrees in greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour or until done. DO NOT OPEN THE OVEN DOOR FOR 45 MINUTES AFTER PUTTING THE CAKE IN. If cake appears to be getting too brown at this time, place a piece of foil on top until done.
