Holiday Salad Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
2 pkg. orange or lemon Jello2 c. boiling water
2 c. cold water
1 c. drained, crushed pineapple
3 lg. bananas, sliced
6 lg. marshmallows, cut
TOPPING:
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. pineapple juice
2 tbsp. flour
1 egg
2 tbsp. butter
1 c. cream, whipped
Cooking Directions
Mix Jello and let harden slightly. Add fruit and marshmallows; set until firm.TOPPING: Mix sugar and pineapple juice, add flour gradually. Cook until thick. Beat egg and add to hot mixture. Cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add butter. When cool, add cream. When Jello is set, frost with topping.
