Holiday Fudge Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
4 c. sugar
2 c. milk
1/2 c. butter (1 stick)
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/3 c. coarsely chopped pecans
1/3 c. coarsely chopped candy cherries
Cooking Directions
Combine sugar, milk, butter, and salt in large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, dissolving sugar. Cook over low heat to soft ball stage, stirring frequently. Remove from heat, and cool at room temperature. Add vanilla and almond extract; beat vigorously. Let fudge thickened lose it's gloss. Stir in pecans and cherries.
