Holiday Cornbread Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. yellow cornmeal
1/4 c. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/4 c. cooking oil or shortening, melted
Cooking Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Stir together flour, sugar, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. Add eggs, milk, and oil or melted shortening. Beat until smooth. DO NOT OVERBEAT. Pour into a greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Makes 8 or 9 servings.
