Lola's Peach Cobbler Recipe


Recipe Ingredients

1/2 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar plus 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. self rising flour
1/2 c. milk
1 (16 oz.) can of sliced Freestone peaches



Cooking Directions

Melt 1/2 stick butter in 8 x 8 square pan or baking dish. Pour most of the butter into a large mixing bowl. Add the 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup self rising flour, 1/2 cup milk and blend until smooth. Pour the 16 oz. can of peaches into the 8 x 8 pan adding 1/4 cup sugar. Heat until peaches are boiling. Pour the smooth batter in a circle into the peaches. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve while warm with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream on each serving.
