Microwave Chocolate Cake Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1/4 c. cocoa
1/3 c. hot water
3/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. hot water
1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 egg
2 tsp. vanilla
Cooking Directions
Combine cocoa and hot water in small micro - proof bowl. Microwave on High power 40 to 50 seconds until slightly thickened in a 600 - 700 watt microwave oven. Combine in medium bowl flour, sugar, soda, powder and salt. Add 1/3 cup hot water, oil, egg, vanilla and chocolate mixture. Beat until smooth and well blended. Pour into round micro - proof 8 x 1 1/2 inch dish that is well greased and lined on bottom with plastic wrap. Microwave on High 5 to 6 minutes without turning until cake begins to pull away from sides. Moisture remaining will disappear. Let stand 5 minutes. Invert on serving plate. Peel off plastic. Cool and frost. Good served with hot chocolate sauce.
