Spanish Dressing (devils Food) Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
2 c. crumbled cornbread
1/2 onion, chopped
1/2 fresh hot pepper or 1/2 chopped jalapeno
Salt & pepper
1 slice bacon, cut in sm. pieces
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1/2 c. water (use to rinse tomato sauce can)
Cooking Directions
In skillet, put bacon pieces and onion and pepper, let bacon brown and vegetables wilt. Add crumbled cornbread, tomato sauce, water and black pepper. Stir well and reduce heat to simmer for 15 minutes. Serve with fried potatoes, pinto beans, tomato and hot pepper salad and any other of your favorite veggies!!
