Chocolate Cherry Bars Recipe
Recipe Ingredients
1 pkg. Pillsbury Plus Devils Food cake mix21 oz. can prepared cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs, beaten
Cooking Directions
Grease and flour 13 x 9 inch pan. Combine all ingredients, stirring until mixed. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.FROSTING:
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. milk
1 c. chopped pecans
5 tbsp. butter
6 oz. pkg. chocolate chips
In small saucepan combine sugar, butter and milk. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips until smooth, add nuts. Pour over hot cake. Cool and cut.
