Braham's Park Cafe's Baked Swedish Meatballs Recipe


Recipe Ingredients

5 lbs. ground beef
9 eggs
4 hamburger buns, torn in small pieces
2 c. quick oatmeal
4 1/2 tsp. salt
5/8 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. rubbed marjoram
3/8 tsp. ground allspice
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 c. chopped parsley
2 1/2 c. whole milk
1 c. tomato juice
1 1/2 c. finely chopped onion



Cooking Directions

Mix all ingredients by hand until well blended. Meatballs can be made the day before if well refrigerated. Use about 2/3 cup for each meatball shaped by hand (these will be large meatballs). Place in well greased baking pan and bake at 400 degrees until meatballs begin to brown. Remove and pour 1 cup warm water over top and cover with foil. Continue baking at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Freezes well. Great for picnics. Makes 35 large balls.
